I did make up my mind, I am no longer a smoker…

I have been off for a while now, not only here, on this website, but on almost everything else in my life and the reason is simple. They call it “Quitter’s flu”, and even though it has nothing to do with fever and antibiotics, it is more like a psychological infection and depression is the most noticeable symptom.

It has been a little more than 2 months since my last cigarette. Since that day, I have been through an unstable emotional state where I know there is something wrong but never could find out what it really is and this feeling is bothering me a lot. I mean too much!

I have been sad, felling lonely, stressed out, and above all, nothing is the way I want anymore. And believe me, this is a few of what I have been going through lately. My wife’s list goes on forever :)

I know, more than any time before, that quitting smoking is not easy, but I also know that it has nothing to do with smoke free nicotine alternatives like patches and gum. Simply put, to quit smoking is a choice, a decision to quit, and it seems that managing the post quit symptoms is another choice that I need to learn.

For now, I made a choice, I am no longer a smoker. Until my next episode when I find a solution to the mental state, make your own choice, quit smoking, and let me know about your strategy for managing the symptoms in the comments.
